Sales & Marketing
Don’t lose focus. Avoid getting side-tracked. Do one thing perfectly and not ten things poorly.
If you can, work from home. Work anywhere. Just make sure that when you’re on holiday you don’t work too much.
If you’re serious about your business you’ll work stupid hours. So you’ll need to enjoy what you do. It should feel like a hobby as it’s that what will sustain you when things get difficult.
Keep your original big idea in the front of your mind. It’s so easy to get distracted and take an easier or low-risk route.
Don’t over-complicate – think about what your customers want. What will make their lives easier, richer and more more convenient?
Utilise all the support and advice available. Consult with specialists, and train to prepare for the challenge each year holds.
How your customers view your business is the only view that counts. Zone out to obtain their perspective.
Actions speak far louder than words. People follow what they see, not what they hear.
Never spend more money than you are making.
