Charity of the year – Young Minds UK
SEPTEMBER ’15 After years of raising money, we began our charity of the year chosen by members and raised c£4,500 for Young Minds UK.
MARCH ’15 Began the 12 session Happiness Project created by Psychologies magazine – another opportunity to meet and this time to focus on all things happiness.
FEBRUARY ’15 Continuing to explore and love London – a trip to see the views from the recently opened Skygarden.
Colour / Style Day
NOVEMBER ’14 The first of our full day colour / style workshops with Helen from Imagination.
AUGUST 2014 ’01 Our first planned walk around London, with the intention of taking in the sights on a leisurely, friendly stroll.
JUNE ’14 From the early days of Ann Summers parties to Stella & Dot parties, we continue to support one another.
MAY ’14 After so long of the Girly Gang being a voluntary venture, a hobby, a sideline it was time to make it professional and give it the recognition it deserves.

FEBRUARY 2010 ’01 Consistently sending out a newsletter on the first of each month packed full of information, friendly and inclusive.
JANUARY ’10 Enjoying the brilliant show Avenue Q having attended many stage performances from Mamma Mia, The Jersey Boys, Take That, Oliver, Wicked to ballet and dance. We love our nights appreciating the arts.
JUNE ’10 Joined the social media rat race with a closed Facebook group page to encourage active communication and collaboration.
AUGUST ’09 Keeping quiet for Alzheimer’s UK. A whole 24 hours of being quiet – wow, that was difficult. Yet we raised just under £1,000.
Walk the Circle Line
AUGUST ’06 Our first major fundraiser walking the entire route of London’s Circle Line and including family and friends.
Christmas dinner and dance
DECEMBER ’05 Christmas dinner with a little extra extravagance, a traditional roast dinner, crackers and all the trimmings and live music.

NOVEMBER ’04 Finding new ways to keep fit and have fun at the same time.
JUNE ’04 Escapism to the country for our first spa day, which was followed by more – in the city plus weekends away.
DECEMBER ’01 We introduced a Secret Santa to our Christmas celebrations.

AUGUST ’01 Our convoy took us down to the New Forest for a fruit picking, walk in the country, weekend.
FEBRUARY ’00 We introduced a monthly update newsletter. Not any old email. Instead one where members could contribute with the aim to help one another.
Intimate monthly dinners
FEBRUARY ’97 We introduced intimate dinners to encourage real conversation. Each month a small crowd of friendly women. Each month new friendships formed.
Murder Mystery Weekend
NOVEMBER ’94 Our first overnight event. What we thought was going to be a relaxing two nights away in a luxury hotel was an hilarious yet hard working weekend of detective work.
Bow Lane – Pizza
OCTOBER ’94 Our diaries very quickly became regular monthly events & when our favourite pizzeria changed ownership, we began to visit other restaurants each month, starting our dining club.
MAY ’92 Where it all began – in the fun, eclectic restaurant Sarastro, Covent Garden.
